About SnapScale

We started with a problem we couldn't solve on a spreadsheet.

SnapScale was founded in 2025 to build cross-reference infrastructure for EPC engineering document packages. The problem: manual consistency review doesn't scale beyond a handful of documents.

Our Story

The inconsistency problem doesn't get smaller as projects get larger.

Our founding team spent years on EPC project delivery at industrial engineering contractors in Korea and Southeast Asia. On every project, the same pattern appeared: an instrument range changed in one document and took two weeks for the change to be noticed in three downstream datasheets. A line size updated on a P&ID revision was caught at a hazard review, not at the document check.

The root cause isn't carelessness. A FEED-to-IFC document package for a mid-sized gas facility contains over 400 documents with thousands of cross-referenced attributes. No engineer can hold that graph in their head. Every project carries a background inconsistency rate that surfaces only when someone happens to look at two documents side by side.

SnapScale is built to hold that graph. We read the document set, build the cross-reference index, and track every conflict the moment it appears, so engineers can focus on the engineering instead of the reconciliation.

400+ documents in a typical FEED package
12+ documents affected by a single tag change
Days average time to catch a downstream conflict manually
How We Work

Built for engineers, by engineers.

Single-problem focus

We solve one problem: cross-document consistency in EPC project deliverables. We don't try to replace your DMS, your P&ID tool, or your project management platform.

Documents in their native form

We work with documents the way engineers produce them: multi-sheet PDFs, structured spreadsheets, and proprietary EPC output formats. No migration, no reformatting.

Transparent results

Every conflict report links directly to the source cell or attribute in the original document. Engineers can verify the flag, not just trust a score. Explainability is a requirement, not a feature.

Data stays in your project

Project documents are confidential. We do not use project data for model training or share it with other organizations. Data residency options are available on the Program tier.

Team

The people behind SnapScale.

Sangyoon Kim

Sangyoon Kim

Co-Founder and CEO

Sangyoon spent years on FEED and detailed design delivery at a large-project EPC contractor, where he managed document control across instrumentation and process disciplines. He left to build the software he spent years wishing existed.

Jiyeon Park

Jiyeon Park

Co-Founder, Engineering

Jiyeon built document parsing and knowledge-graph infrastructure at a B2B data platform before joining SnapScale. She leads the extraction engine and cross-reference index, with a focus on reliability across heterogeneous document formats.

Marcus Odell

Marcus Odell

Customer Success

Marcus worked in project document control and QA at an international EPC firm before moving into software. He manages onboarding for new projects and is the primary contact for teams getting set up on SnapScale.
